Excellence In Education

Rebekah Smith

“So Matilda’s strong young mind continued to grow, nurtured by the voices of all those authors who had sent their books out into the world like ships on the sea. These books gave Matilda a hopeful and comforting message: You are not alone.”
-- Roald Dahl, Matilda

Rebekah Smith

Although you will often see my name listed as Rebekah, I always go by my nickname Bekie (pronounced Becky). I graduated from West Virginia University with a B.A. in English and Mount Vernon Nazarene University with a M.A. in Education. I am excited to begin my second year teaching 9th and 10th grade English. I am passionate about my content area as well as forming strong relationships with my students.

Outside of teaching, I enjoy being active with my husband and four teenage sons. Some of my favorite activities include reading, kayaking, and hiking. I also take pride in serving in a variety of ways in my community.

I am passionate about connecting with parents/guardians to make the best learning experience possible for my students. Please note my contact information and do not hesitate to contact me with any questions or concerns.
