I am in my twentieth year teaching at MVHS. For seven of those years, I worked with students as an Intervention Specialist. Since then, I have taught English and Social Studies special education courses. I have an Integrated Social Studies degree from Mount Vernon Nazarene University and a Master's in Special Education (with an emphasis on reading instruction) from Ashland University. My education and experience have allowed me to pursue my love of literature, history, and investing in young people.
My husband of over a decade, Tim, and I live in Mount Vernon with our cats, Archie and Zoey. Outside of my work, I love reading, travel, cooking, and Cleveland baseball (Cleveland sports in general). Please be aware that any references to the Detroit Tigers, Pittsburgh Steelers, Houston Astros, or Baltimore Ravens are unwelcome.
