After over a decade in special education and teaching in Ohio, Arizona, and Texas, I am excited to be back home in Ohio serving as the behavior specialist for Mount Vernon City Schools. I completed my undergraduate degree in early childhood education and intervention specialist at Mount Vernon Nazarene University. While living and working in Texas, I was chosen for the federally funded Project STArT grant through the University of North Texas to complete my master’s in special education with an emphasis in autism and evidence based practices.
During this program, I fell in love with behavior analysis and saw how powerful this knowledge was while working with my students. Therefore, I decided to continue on with my post-master’s certificate in applied behavior analysis with the desire to use this knowledge and skill base in the public school setting; which led me here.
I'm so excited to serve Mount Vernon students and staff!
