Mount Vernon City Schools proudly celebrated the achievements of its outstanding students during the annual
Kiwanas Scholastic Recognition Awards Program, held in the Mount Vernon High School Theater. The event recognized 158 students for their academic excellence and dedication, each earning academic scholarship awards to support their continued education.The ceremony, hosted in collaboration with the Mount Vernon Kiwanis Club, highlighted the district’s ongoing commitment to student success and the value of hard work in the classroom. Students from various grade levels were honored for their consistent academic performance, leadership, and community involvement.
Superintendent William Seder Jr. commended the recipients, saying, “These students represent the very best of Mount Vernon. Their accomplishments reflect not only personal dedication but also the support of families, educators, and the entire community.”

The Kiwanis Club has long supported educational initiatives in Mount Vernon, and the awards night continues to be a testament to the strong partnership between the school district and community organizations.
