Kindergarten Music

In Kindergarten music is experienced through joyful movement and play.  Students work on their ability to keep a steady beat through movement and the playing of classroom instruments such as drums, woodblocks and rhythm sticks.  Students compare and describe various elements of music and sound both in the folk songs and nursery rhymes that they sing and the music they listen to. Kindergarten students perform in a school concert held in the spring.
