Hi, my name is Liz Springer and this year I will be one of the Mt. Vernon Digital Academy Intervention Specialist for grades K-5. In the past, I have been an Early Childhood Intervention Specialist, so it is a new endeavor for me to work with elementary age children. I am excited to take on this new position and I hope that we can support each other as we work through this school year. I know this year brings a lot of new situations and challenges to so many of us - the children, parents, and teachers alike. Please know that I will do what I can to make the learning fun and engaging! I will try to answer questions that you have, and if I don't know the answer right away, I will figure it out and get back to you. Here is a little bit of personal information so you can get to know me a little bit:
I am beginning my 23rd year of teaching, having taught 19 years as a teacher in a special education or integrated classroom. I truly have a heart for working with children and have a desire to "connect" with your child the best I can through online teaching. I have been married to my husband for 29 years, and together we have raised twin boys. We are proud grandparents of two beautiful grandchildren. I love to spend time with family and friends as we seek out adventures such as white water rafting, zip lining, and hiking.
Please feel free to contact me with questions or concerns.
