FFA Grooming Team FFA Animal Science Teams Earn State Honors
The Mount Vernon FFA recently competed in the very first virtual State Small Animal competition.  The Grooming and Animal Behavior Teams both earned top 10 finishes. Advanced Sports Performance is a new elective class currently being piloted for Mount Vernon High School students. This class will be offered to students grades 10-12 as a semester elective in the 2021-2022 school year. Read more... for details and pictures.
 
Pop Up Postcard Project at Gund Gallery
Students from East, Dan Emmett, Columbia, and Twin Oak created small pieces of art inspired by The Art of Trees exhibit at Gund Gallery.  Please visit Gund Gallery on the campus of Kenyon College to view students' art through May 15.

Open Enrollment Picture NEW OPEN ENROLLMENT
Mount Vernon City Schools Open enrollment applications for the 2021-2022 school year will be accepted online only.  The online application form for new open enrollment will be available to be completed and submitted beginning April 1, 2021.   New Open Enrolled Students will be required to enroll through the online registration process.  Click Read More link for details.

Ohio Department of Medicaid Logo Ohio Medicaid School Program Annual Notice
The Mt Vernon City School District has the opportunity to receive  Federal Medicaid dollars through a program called the Ohio Medicaid  School Program (MSP). Through this program, school districts can receive  Medicaid dollars for services such as Speech, Audiology, Physical  Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Nursing, Psychology, Counseling, and  Social Work services.  Read More... for program details.
