Cec Ganz and Daniel Pastor National Merit Commended Students Cec Ganz and Daniel Pastor Designated as Commended Students

We are pleased to announce that Cec Ganz and Daniel Pastor have been designated as Commended Students in the National Merit Scholarship Program. Their Selection Index scores place them among the top 50,000 of over 1.5 million students who entered the 2021 National Merit Program by taking the 2019 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT).  We congratulate these two students on their excellent performance on the PSAT/NMSQT.

Cec’s parents are Karen Hicks and Josh Ganz. Daniel’s parents are Jennifer Johnson and Juan Pastor.

  Traditional (Green) - In Person learning 5 days per week
  Hybrid (Yellow) - In Person learning 2 days per week ; 3 days Online

Rob Small receives the Business of the Year commendation from Bill Seder and the Mount Vernon Board of Education. September Board Meeting at Twin Oak Elementary
The Mount Vernon City School Board of Education held its September board meeting at Twin Oak Elementary on Monday evening.  The Board discussed the results of the district thought exchange launched to gain perspective on what learning mode (Traditional, Hybrid or Remote) the district would operate under during the second nine weeks. The Mt Vernon City School District has the opportunity to receive  Federal Medicaid dollars through a program called the Ohio Medicaid  School Program (MSP). Through this program, school districts can receive  Medicaid dollars for services such as Speech, Audiology, Physical  Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Nursing, Psychology, Counseling, and  Social Work services.  Read More... for program details.
