MV Schools Received Highest Special Education Rating
Every year, Ohio school districts receive a rating on the performance of their special education program, known as the Special Education Rating. The Ohio Department of Education uses final data that districts submit through the Education Management Information System (EMIS). This data results in one of four ratings — Meets Requirements, Needs Assistance, Needs Intervention or Needs Substantial Intervention.

Mount Vernon City Schools received the highest rating. Our 2016 Special Education Rating is Meets Requirements.
OneView Parent Portal Now Active
Mount Vernon City Schools, in collaboration with eSchoolview, has transitioned to a Parent Portal System called OneView.  The Parent Portal located under the Parent Tab on the District website will be the main access site for parents to: view and submit online forms, confirm bus transportation information, monitor their child’s grade cards, pay school lunch fees, get doctor and dental forms and enroll new students.  Due to the importance of all parents having access, individual letters are being sent out to each parent having a student enrolled in MVCSD explaining this initiative along with your students ID number.
