MV District Calendar Survey

Please review the 2016-2017 calendar template and complete the simple survey as your input is appreciated.

Calendar Link:    2016-2017 Calendar Option

Special Considerations:

Start Date: It was important to start after the Dan Emmett festival and include the hourly equivalent of 176 student days.

It was an important consideration for the High School to end the 1st Semester prior to the Winter Break for exam purposes.

Winter Break: Christmas and New Years falls on a Sunday.  We developed this option which still allow for a 2-week winter break by dismissing mid-week (12/22)  and resuming mid-week (1/4)

We have included a full week for spring break at the end of march  and added a couple days in late April to coincide with Good Friday and Easter.

The last day for students is May 25 (176 days)  We have a couple of options for Graduation and would appreciate your specific input in a separate question.

Note: If we start later we will end later or find it necessary to eliminate some vacation days as its important to maintain student Instructional days.

After reading the information provided and reviewing the calendar option please share with us your comments:
