Mount Vernon High School conducted the Academic Points Award Ceremony at the MVNU R.R. Outstanding Achievement Awards Banquet room. Beshears and Jackson Recognized For Outstanding Achievement
On March 7, 2019 two Mount Vernon City School students were honored at  the State Support Team Region 7 Outstanding Achievement Awards Banquet.  MVMS sixth grader, Hope Beshears and MVHS senior, Billy Jackson, attending the Knox County Career Center received an award during the banquet.  Read More...  for details and pictures.

MVCSD Board of Education hosted a Joint Board Meeting Monday, April 15,  with MV City Council and Mount Vernon Nazarene University to discuss the  collaborative Access To Opportunity.  Sam Barone, Executive Director of  the Knox County Foundation; Brian Ball, City Engineer; Bill Seder,   MVCSD Superintendent; and James Smith, MVNU Vice President for  University Relations all outlined the various parts of this historic  venture.  View video by selecting the  Communications link on the district website.

Ohio Department of Medicaid Logo Ohio Medicaid School Program Annual Notice
The Mt Vernon City School District has the opportunity to receive  Federal Medicaid dollars through a program called the Ohio Medicaid  School Program (MSP). Through this program, school districts can receive  Medicaid dollars for services such as Speech, Audiology, Physical  Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Nursing, Psychology, Counseling, and  Social Work services.  Read More... for program details.
