I am so thrilled to be your child’s Kindergarten teacher this year at Columbia! This is my 12th year of teaching and my fifth year teaching in the Mount Vernon City School District. Teaching children is my passion! I love encouraging children to see their potential and to get them excited about new academic concepts through the use of hands-on activities and music. I am a graduate of Ohio Dominican University where I earned a Bachelor’s in Early Childhood Education.
When I am not teaching, you will often see a book or a journal in my hands because I love to read and write! Music is a big passion of mine! I love to sing, write songs and am a worship leader at our church. I love going for walks, watching movies, doing creative projects, baking and making soup. My favorite season is Fall. My family and I love to go camping in and out of Ohio. One of our favorite places to go is the beach! My husband, Eric and I have two children who keep life fun and busy! Our teenage son Fritz attends Mount Vernon High School and our daughter Eva attends school here at Columbia. I am eager to learn more about your student and look forward to building a strong connection with you and your family as we journey together this school year!
