Second Grade

Dear Families of Second Graders, 

We have put together materials and resources for our students that we hope is helpful for you during this time. We have work pages, reading books, and websites set up for you to help your child continue learning. We will also stay in contact through Class Dojo. Also, check your student’s google email for a link to accessing our Google Classroom.  This will have links, reminders of assignments, and more! This will be used on top of Class Dojo as another way for us to keep you updated. 

Please help your child find a routine to each day with activities and exercise outside if possible. Teach them about staying healthy and caring for others while staying safe. There is a suggested daily schedule that you may use. It is not mandatory by any means. A weekly schedule for assignments is to help guide as well. This may help your child feel in control of their learning. We want every child to feel positive and enjoy a new way to learn.

Additionally,  keep work in the red folder and organized for your child. We will have pick up days and drop off days. 

If you have computer access at home, please allow your child to go to the websites we have set up for them. Here’s how;

• Through Google, login with their school login info: 30(first initial, last name, stu.mvcsd.us.us)

Example: [email protected], then password

• For Think Central, Success Maker, Reflex, Typing.com - go to mvcsd.us to Pleasant Street. (students know how to do this)

• Google Classroom - go to the Google search page, find the “waffle” in the top right corner, find google classroom. There are links to other sites to make learning fun!

• Login information (should be in your student’s pencil box) is with materials going home. Please keep this in a safe place.

Thank you for all you are doing for your child/children. Have fun learning with your children each day. Do fun things together and be creative!
