Welcome to 5th grade!  I am so excited to be at Columbia as one of the fifth grade teachers again this year and to be working with such an amazing staff!  This will be my seventh year teaching 5th grade.  Previously I taught second grade, third grade, and have also taught reading and math intervention.

I am married to my husband Bill and we live in Mount Vernon.  We have four children.  Two are grown and two are in college.  We enjoy camping, biking, racing each other on go-karts, playing with our dog, and hanging out together.  

5th grade is such an important year as we help students prepare for middle school!  We learn a lot and also have a lot of fun.  I am looking forward to this great adventure with your child!

Thursday Folders - Please sign your child's homework folder every Thursday night. 

Agendas - All homework assignments should be recorded in your child’s agenda every day.

Reading - Your child needs to read for at least 20 minutes, five days a week.  Reading at least 20 minutes each day will make your child a much better reader!
