Hi! My name is Mrs. Severns. I have been happily married for 39 years. My husband, Mel, is the Registrar at MVNU. I have a son and a daughter who both graduated from Mount Vernon High School and went on to pursue careers upon graduating from college. 

I received my BA Degree in Elementary Education (1-8) and my MA Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from MVNU. I have been happily teaching for 39 years. I absolutely love working with children and helping them reach their academic goals.
