After graduating from MVNU in 2003 with a degree in Integrated Language Arts, I received my Master’s Degree in Classroom Teaching from The University of Rio Grande in 2007. This coming year will be my ninth year teaching in the classroom, but my first year in middle school. My husband, Travis, and I have three daughters, Kyla (15), Vera (10), and Asta (8). When I’m not at the soccer field or the track watching my girls compete, I am most likely reading, walking with a friend, planning our next travel destination, or organizing some area of my house while listening to a podcast. I am an Enneagram 7 personality type that loves pizza, drinks a substantial amount of iced coffee, listens to 90’s hip hop, often laughs at inappropriate times, and lives by the words of Emerson that “Nothing great was ever achieved without enthusiasm.” To say I’m excited to join the team at MVMS would be an understatement! I’m really looking forward to this opportunity and this coming school year!
