My name is Rebecca Japikse and I teach music at Dan Emmett and East Elementary schools.  I earned my Bachelors of Music Education degree from Otterbein University in 2015 and Masters degree in Music Education with a focus in Kodaly at Capital University in 2022.

My husband teaches orchestra at MVMS and we are so happy to be in Mount Vernon.  I am looking forward to this year in public education and looking forward to a great school year!
