Hello! I joined the Twin Oak family in 2023. Even though this is only my second year at Twin Oak, the 2024-2025 school year is my 19th year of teaching. Before coming to Twin Oak, I was a 4th grade teacher at Northmor Elementary School. Prior to that, I taught kindergarten in both southern Ohio and Kentucky. I earned my bachelor's degree in Elementary Education (P-5) from Asbury University in 2006 and a master's degree in Educational Leadership from Ohio University in 2009. 

I live in Mount Vernon with my husband, Jared, and our two kids Sadie & Miles. I am excited to be a part of the Mount Vernon community and teaching here now as well. While not teaching or taking care of my kids, I enjoy cooking, crafting, reading, and being outside. Our family enjoys going to the beach every summer. I am a dedicated fan to my favorite teams: Ohio State Buckeyes and Cincinnati Bengals (football), Kentucky Wildcats (basketball), and Cincinnati Reds (baseball). I love spending time with my family, and I have 6 nieces and 3 nephews. 

I am the reading teacher for all of our 5th graders this year. I am excited to teach, learn, and read along with them this year!
