Welcome to Kindergarten! It's such an exciting year, full of new experiences! I love getting to know my students and their families and I am so happy to be here, sharing my love for learning.
I have spent many years in preschool, but this is my first year in Kindergarten. I think the fundamentals of those early learning years are so important and I love teaching them. The excitement of learning new things is my favorite part of teaching! I believe Kindergarten is the building block of a child's education, so I want my students to get off to a good start! I graduated from Mount Vernon Nazarene University with a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education.
I live on a farm with my husband, Eric, and our three children; Tenley, Hays and Blaine, who all attend Pleasant Street Elementary. As a family, we spend most of our time outdoors. I enjoy gardening, caring for our animals, antiques, cooking and baking.
Mount Vernon is such a wonderful, supportive community and I am blessed to be teaching in the town I have always lived in. I know we will have the best year and I can't wait to get to know you all!
