My name is Julie Fowler, and I will be teaching your class this year.  This will be my 29th year teaching, 4 years in a private school and teaching in the Mount Vernon City School District since 2000.

I moved to Mount Vernon in the 4th grade and attended Dan Emmett Elementary School. My husband Dan and I both graduated from Mount Vernon High School. I earned a Bachelor of Education from The Ohio State University and earned a Master of Education in Reading from Nova Southeastern University.

I have two daughters Sarah and Katie. Sarah is the Cross County and Track Head Coach at Seton Hill University in Pennsylvania. Katie is currently living in southern Ohio working as a speech pathologist.

When I'm not at school, I love to watch movies, refurbish old furniture, and take rides with my husband in our side by side. We also have a dog named Cooper and cat Lily.
