My name is Ben Severns and I teach 6th Grade Math. I am from Mount Vernon and attended both MVMS and MVHS myself. I earned my BA in Middle Childhood Education with a focus on both Math and Social Studies from Mount Vernon Nazarene University. I also earned a MA in Educational Leadership from Concordia University Chicago. Along with teaching, I also coach Junior Varsity Golf.

Personally, I am married. My wife, Lydia, is an Intervention Specialist in Lexington. Together, we have two dogs (a bernadoodle named Louie, and a mini-goldendoodle named Archie). We enjoy walking our dogs, playing board/card games, and spending time with our families. Our favorite summer activity is camping.
