Ms. Martin

Carrie Martin attended Bowling Green State University and received a Bachelor of Science in Psychology in 1997. She graduated from The Ohio State University in 2002 with a Master of Education degree. Although she started her teaching career in preschool, she has been teaching 4th and 5th grade since then. She would like to live in France after she retires. This is in the VERY distant future.

We are learning a lot of amazing things. Here are some highlights:


Math- place value, adding and subtracting, roundingCompleted Module 4.  Module 5 will focus on fractions.  Students can work on Zearn Module 5 at home as needed.


Reading- complete Lexia minutes and units each week. Storyworks includes a variety of genres, including plays.


Writing-Writing essays with introductions, conclusions, and evidence from the articles.  Editing our work and focusing on spelling and neatness.

 

Social StudiesWe just finished reading “I survived the American Revolution” to help us understand Ohio’s role in the nation during this time. Next- we will study government.


Science- We are experts on Matter now!
