Welcome, Renegades! I am thrilled to be entering my eleventh year of teaching at Mount Vernon Middle School. For many reasons, my classroom experience is unique as I job-share with Mrs. Hale. Together we aim to promote growth in the world of reading and writing. We also focus on fostering an environment to instill positive values and support one another.

In 2014, I obtained my Bachelor's degree in Middle Childhood Education from Mount Vernon Nazarene University. My areas of study included English Language Arts and Social Studies. Since graduating, I have taken several courses to further my knowledge and experience in Special Education.

When I am not in the classroom, you can bet that I am with my family. My husband, Ryan, serves as an instructor at the Knox Country Career Center for the College-U Business program. Ryan and I have been married for ten years and we have two children, Stella and Theodore. Stella is in 3rd grade and Theodore is in 1st grade at East Elementary. As a family, we love being together seeking out new adventures.
