Hello Students and Parents!
My name is Mrs. LeeAnne Jurkowitz and I will be serving as your school counselor for the duration of your time here at Mount Vernon Middle School! Since we will be attached throughout your time here (each counselor moves with our grade level of students), I would like you to know a little bit about me. I was born and raised in Mount Vernon and still live here now. I graduated from Mount Vernon High School, earned my Bachelor’s degree from Otterbein University and my Master’s degree in School Counseling from the University of Dayton. I've worked as a middle school counselor for 16 years and I love working with students this age! I am married and we have three daughters.
Please feel free to drop in to say hello, discuss your academics, extracurriculars and/or your future plans. I am a resource for my students regarding anything that will help them achieve success no matter what that looks like.
