Hello, I'm Jenny Brown. My journey as an educator began with a Bachelor of Arts in Education from Ashland University. This education laid the groundwork for my future endeavors in the field of education.

One of the most significant milestones in my career has been becoming Orton-Gillingham Trained in structured literacy intervention. This specialized training has allowed me to make a positive impact Additionally, I hold a K-3 Reading Endorsement, also from Ashland University. This endorsement signifies my dedication to early childhood education and my commitment to nurturing strong reading skills in young learners. I believe that a strong foundation in reading is the key to a child's educational success, and I'm proud to play a role in building that foundation.

Mt. Vernon has been my home for 27 years, and it holds a special place in my heart. Raising my two grown daughters here has been a privilege and a joy. In my spare time, I enjoy various outdoor activities. Hiking is a favorite pastime. Biking and Kayaking are other passions of mine. My dog joins me on many of these outdoor adventures. 

One of my more creative outlets is rock painting. You may come across one of my painted rocks during your walks in Mt. Vernon!

Lastly, but certainly not least, is the time I spend with my grandchildren. They bring joy to my life, and I cherish every moment I get to spend with them. Whether it's reading them a story, or exploring the outdoors; these moments are priceless.

In closing, my journey has been one of continuous learning and a connection with nature. Education has been my calling, Mt. Vernon my home, and the great outdoors my sanctuary. I'm grateful for the opportunities I've had and the people I've met along the way. Here's to many more adventures and contributions to come!
