Sunbury, Ohio (May 11, 2024) - Congratulations to the MVMS 8th Grade Orchestra Chorale on earning a "Superior" rating at the OMEA Middle School Large Group Event on Saturday, May 11, 2024 at Big Walnut High School.

The orchestra performed three pieces in the Class B Division: Sleeping Beauty Waltz by Tchaikovsky/Dabczynski, arr., Scarborough Fair arranged by Balmages, and Finale from Serenade for Strings by Tchaikovsky/Gruselle, arr. Three adjudicators evaluated their performance on stage for a final rating. The orchestra also had a clinic with Gretchen Zunic following their performance.

The MVMS 8th Grade Orchestra is directed by Chris Japikse and assisted by Anthony Springer.
