Congratulations to the MVHS Chorale on earning a "Superior" rating at the OMEA State Choir Event on Friday, April 26, 2024 at Watkins Memorial High School. The ensemble moved on after performing at the district level in March.

Mount Vernon City Schools invites our community to enjoy an evening of jazz music from the talented Middle School Jazz Band. The “Tops 'N' Pops” jazz concert will be held in the Middle School Commons this Friday, April 26th. at 7:00 PM.

The Art Department is delighted to extend an invitation to our community members to join us for the Senior Art Exhibition and Governor's Art Exhibition.  The exhibition will run from May 9 through May 21 from 1 PM to 5PM at the MVNU Schnormeier Gallery.

The Mount Vernon High School Choirs will present their annual May Fiesta Dinner Show on Saturday, May 4, 2024 at 6pm in the Middle School Commons. Audiences will hear a variety of musical styles while enjoying a sit down pasta dinner! Tickets are $10 (dinner) or $5 (show only) and can be purchased by calling the high school music office at 740-393-5900 ext. 5643.

Eight students from Mount Vernon High School submitted artwork to the Ohio Governor's Youth Exhibition this school year. The exhibition is open to all of Ohio's 1,112 high schools, both public and private, chartered by the State of Ohio Department of Education. The purpose is to provide all budding young artists of the state with opportunities to advance their talent, whether that be through scholarships or simply experiencing the process of entering their work in a competition.
