My name is Julie Fowler, and I will be teaching your class this year.  I have been teaching for 25 years and in the Mount Vernon City School District since 2000.

I moved to Mount Vernon in the 4th grade and attended Dan Emmett Elementary School. My husband Dan and I both graduated from Mount Vernon High School. I earned a Bachelor of Education from The Ohio State University and earned a Master of Education in Reading from Nova Southeastern University.

I have two daughters Sarah and Katie. Sarah is the Cross County Head Coach at The University of Minot in North Dakota. Katie is currently living in the state of Washington as a speech pathologist.

When I'm not at school, I love to watch movies, refurbish old furniture, and take rides with my husband on our Harley motorcycle. We also have a dog named Cooper.
