I attended The Ohio State University-Mansfield then transferred to Bowling Green State University.   I received my degree in Early Childhood Education/Elementary Education from BGSU. Later, I took reading classes from The Ohio State University but finished coursework through Ashland University for my Master’s Degree.  I  taught kindergarten and third grade before coming to Knox County. I taught preschool at Faith Lutheran and was the site manager for a latch key program for a couple of year. Since then I have been at several of Mount Vernon elementary buildings over the years, Dan Emmett, Columbia, Pleasant Street and Twin Oak. Since being at Twin Oak, I have taught reading intervention groups.

I am married and have 2 grown children and 4 wonderful grandchildren!  When not working on school things, I like to garden, both vegetable and flowers!  I enjoy reading and travelling.  My goal is to travel to all the states and to travel where Sound of Music was filmed.

Welcome to a new school year!

I hope you had a wonderful summer.  I am sure it was different but that's okay.

When you come to school, things will be different too.  We will still be learning and caring for you.  It will be fun to see you and to see all the interesting masks!

Stay healthy.  Be kind.  Wash your hands often!    Read!!!!
