Members of Phase 1A, First responders and medical personnel, entered Energy Fieldhouse this morning to begin their initiall COVID 19 vaccination. Visitors were able to be spread out to accomplish the various tasks which included: Registration, Inoculation, and the waiting zone.
Pam Palm of Knox Public Health complimented the school district on being so accommodating and welcoming. "This is a wonderful facility; the perfect place to allow all participants to spread out and observe social distancing.
Approximately 150 Health Care Workers, Medical Providers, Home Care, Group Health Workers and EMT’s were vaccinated today," stated Palm.
“We are incredibly grateful for the community's support in providing such a wonderful facility.” stated MVCSD Superintendent, William Seder Jr. “We are pleased that Energy Fieldhouse can be utilized by our community and Knox Public Health as a COVID vaccination site. When we work together we can accomplish so much more.”
Knox Public Health wants to remind residents that scheduling of vaccination appointments must take place at KPH and not Energy Fieldhouse. Vaccination for COVID 19 is by appointment for our senior citizens. Please call 740-399-8014 option 5 or email [email protected] to schedule vaccinations. Future dates for vaccination clinics will be announces by Knox Public Health.
