Thanksgiving Celebration at Columbia

Thanksgiving is such a beautiful season to celebrate the wonderful things that we have in our life.  It is a great time to talk to the children about the beginning of this amazing tradition and how it has transformed into this national holiday.  On Friday, November 18, our entire student body and staff enjoy a Thanksgiving meal together.  We have not been able to have this meal since before COVID19 entered our world.  Thankfully, we are now able to return to this wonderful tradition.

The meal was a success due to the amazing Mount Vernon City Schools Food Service and our incredible PTO.  With the help of the Knox County Career Center Hospitality Program, the tables were covered with beautiful linen tablecloths and napkins.  The PTO sponsored the meal and provided volunteers to serve the students.

Since this is a season of thanksgiving, our student and staff put together a video of thankfulness. As you listen to their sweet voices, take a moment to be thankful for the little things in life.
