Treasurer

Judy Forney became Treasurer/CFO of Mount Vernon City Schools in December 2011. Before joining the district, she worked for 17 years at the Mid-Ohio Educational Service Center and later served two years as Fiscal Liaison at NCOCC. She has been a public school treasurer since 1998.

Her public service experience also includes being elected twice to the Lexington Local Schools Board of Education and once to the Mansfield City School District Board of Education. She currently serves as a member of the Richland County Children’s Services Board in Mansfield where she resides.

Under her fiscal leadership the Mount Vernon City School district has maintained
healthy funding levels with adequate cash balance amounts to ensure efficient, but
frugal fiscal management for the high-quality educational operation of the district’s
classrooms, buses and facilities.

Along with her experienced and dedicated staff, Mrs. Forney oversees the fiscal
operations of the Mount Vernon City Schools and provides a record of stability and good
government that our community deserves. Although we are behind the scenes, the work done in my department keeps the *wheels turning* every day and we are proud to be part of such a successful and positive endeavor.
