MVCSD Stopfinder Transportation App

Mount Vernon City Schools uses the free Stopfinder app to provide families with important information about their child’s school transportation. Stopfinder is a secure mobile app provided by Transfinder, the company that supports the District’s bus routing system.

Get Started

You must activate your Stopfinder subscription before you can view your child’s transportation information.

1. Open the Stopfinder invitation sent each student's primary contact's email.

2. Select the activation link and follow the instructions to create your account.

3. Download the free Stopfinder app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store (linked below)

4. Sign in using the same email address and password you used to create your account.

5. Allow notifications so you can receive transportation updates.

Information Available in Stopfinder

Parents and guardians can use Stopfinder to view:

• Assigned bus and route information

• Bus stop location

• Morning and afternoon transportation schedules

• Messages and updates from the District

• Notices about delays, route changes, or substitute buses

Receiving Notifications

To receive notifications on your phone:

• Remain signed in to Stopfinder.

• Allow Stopfinder notifications in your phone’s settings.

• You do not need to keep the app open.

If you sign out of the app, you will not receive notifications until you sign in again.

Important Information

Scroll to the first day of school in the app to view your child’s assigned bus information.

Check Stopfinder regularly for updates. Bus routes, stops, and times may change as student enrollment and transportation needs are updated.
