I love teaching first grade! I have been at East for a long time and LOVE it! Our East Elementary family is a very special bunch. After graduating from Mount Vernon High School, I attended Muskingum College and graduated with my bachelors degree in elementary education. I also earned my master's degree in reading from Marygrove College. I have taught preschool, fifth grade, and first grade and have loved them all. First grade really is amazing. The amount of growth shown in first grade is remarkable!
My husband, Mike, and I have two grown children, Katie and Zach. It is a joy to be a parent of young adults. My favorite role is being a Mimi. I enjoy spending time with my family, scrapbooking, working out, and taking walks.
