I am excited to be an Intervention Specialist this year at Columbia Elementary and grateful to be a teacher in the community where I live with my family. This is my eleventh year of teaching and my second year in the Mount Vernon City School District. Teaching children is my passion. I love encouraging children to see their potential and to get them excited about new academic concepts though the use of hands on activities and music when I am able. I am a graduate of Ohio Dominican University where I earned a Bachelor’s in Early Childhood Education.
When I am not teaching, you will often see a book or a journal in my hands because I love to read and write! I am a singer/songwriter and have written many songs. I enjoy listening to all kinds of music. My family and I love to go camping in and out of Ohio. One of our favorite places to go is the beach! I have two children who keep life fun and busy. My son Fritz is going into 7th grade at MVMS and my daughter Eva is going into 1st grade at Columbia. I hope you have enjoyed learning more about me. I can’t wait to learn more about you and I am looking forward to a great school year!
