Hello!  My name is Cheryl Gibbs and I love to teach reading!  I became fascinated many years ago with the amazing process of learning to read while my son was learning to read as a kindergartener.  We did all the right things at home to set him up to not only be a good reader, but to enjoy reading.  From the time he was old enough to sit on my lap and look at pictures, we read books together.  I introduced him to many, many books that I loved.  We read the same books over and over again.  We looked forward to it!  As he got older, and chose his own favorite books, he introduced me to some really amazing stories.  I am so grateful today for those early days when we had time to spend engaging in great literature!  My hope is that every family will engage the naturally curious, adventurous and imaginative spirit and mind of every child in their lives with great stories!
