FFA Attends Grain Safety and Rescue
Members of the Mt. Vernon FFA chapter recently attended a grain safety talk and simulated rescue at the Mount Vernon Fire Department.  The event was a collaborative effort between Knox County FSA, Soil and Water Conservation District, OSU Extension, NRCS, Farm Bureau, and Mt. Vernon Fire Department.  Students learned about the risk of working around grain handling facilities and equipment.  They also learned about rescue efforts and the training that the first responders would be equipped with in such a situation.  Sydney Gallagher - Reporter
