ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS

The Board of Education, Mount Vernon City Schools, Mount Vernon, Ohio, will receive sealed bids for: 

The Board of Education will receive bids until 11:00 on January 27, 2022 at 300 Newark Road, Mount Vernon, Ohio 43050. Bids received after this time will not be accepted. Bids will be opened and publicly read aloud immediately after specified closing time. All interested parties are invited to attend.

Bid security in the form of certified check, cashier’s check, or letter of credit pursuant to the Ohio Revised Code in the amount of 10 percent of the total bid shall accompany each bid; or a Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond in accordance with Chapter 153.571 of the Ohio Revised Code in the amount of 100 percent of the total bid shall accompany each bid. 

Each successful bidder is required to furnish a Contract Bond in accordance with the Ohio Revised Code in the amount of 100 percent of the full contract sum, if not provided as part of the bid security. 

A prebid conference will be held on January 11, 2022, at 2:30 p.m., local time, at 304 Yellow Jacket Drive, Mount Vernon, Ohio 43050. Attendance by bidders is optional, but recommended, in order to clarify or answer questions concerning the Drawings and Project Manual for the Project.

The estimated cost of the Construction Work is: $280,000.00. 

Project is being funded with Elementary and Secondary Emergency Relief Fund (ESSER) and abide by the provisions of the Davis-Bacon Act. Federal Wage rates shall be incorporated. 

The Owner reserves the right to reject each and every bid, and to waive informalities, irregularities, and errors in the bidding to the extent permitted by law. This includes the right to extend the date and time for receipt of bids.
