Artwork Selected At State Exhibition

MOUNT VERNON, OH (March 14, 2017) - Artwork from three Mount Vernon High School students were selected from 12,000 pieces submitted at the State Level of the Ohio Governor's Youth Art Exhibition. Sean Badger and Jessica Stitts had artwork selected among the top 300 in the state. Their artwork will be on display at the Rhodes State Office Tower from April 23 until May 18.

Maya McDonald's artwork was selected among the top 350 in the state. Her artwork will be on display at the Cameo Show at the State Department of Education.

The Ohio Governor's Youth Art Exhibition, now in its 47th year, is dedicated to the educational and artistic advancement of our talented young people in the state of Ohio. The exhibition is open to all of Ohio's 1,112 high schools, both public and private, chartered by the State of Ohio Department of Education.
