Mount Vernon FFA Teams Bring Home Honors
The Mount Vernon FFA Urban Soils team recently placed first in the County Soils Contest sponsored by the Knox County Soil and Water Conservation District. Team members Caleb Hickman, Bradyn Burke and Erin Lawhon will be recognized at the SWCD annual banquet in December.
Also placing first in the county was the Mount Vernon FFA Forestry Team which placed first in the County Forestry Contest hosted by the Knox Soil and Water Conservation District. team members will be recognized at the SWCD banquet in December. Team members are Clayton Noggle, Caleb Hickman and Erin Lawhon.
On the State level, MV FFA Soils Team placed 4th in the State FFA Urban Soils Career Development Event. The team is now eligible to compete in the National Soils Contest in Oklahoma next May. Team members are Caleb Hickman, Lily Nickel, Justin Davis and Bradyn Burke.
