The In The Know academic quiz bowl team team of Luke Trese, Mary Harris, Jacob Lebold, Malcolm McDonnell, and Christian Knox defeated teams from Millersport, Lakewood, Northridge, Watkins, Licking Heights, Utica, Johnstown, and Licking Valley. Their only loss was to Centerburg that was very close throughout the entire match, earning Mount Vernon 2nd place overall in the Licking County Quiz Bowl League. [ for more]

The MVHS Speech and Debate Team have qualified a record 13 students to  the Ohio Speech and Debate Association’s State Finals held in Sylvania  on March 2-3.  “I knew more students would qualify than usual, but 13 is really an accomplishment.
