Mount Vernon City Schools has been honored with the Best Communities for Music Education designation from The NAMM Foundation for its outstanding commitment to music education. Now in its 25th year, the Best Communities for Music Education designation is awarded to school districts that demonstrate outstanding achievement to provide music access and education to all students.

Mount Vernon City Schools will not be in session on Monday, April 8, to allow our students and parents to see the solar eclipse in our area.

Columbia PTO is sponsoring an incredible basket raffle.  With over 36 different baskets to choose from, you could walk away with a basket ranging from values of $75.00- $500.00 for just the cost of $1.00.  Raffle tickets are being sold for $1.00 each and can be ordered online or from a student at Columbia.
