Tracy Kanuckel
This is my fourth year as a Gifted Intervention Specialist in the Mount Vernon City School District. I graduated from the University of Toledo with a BS and Master's in Early Childhood and Elementary Education. In addition, I have a Gifted Endorsement from the University of Cincinnati.

My previous teaching experiences include being a substitute teacher for grades K-8 in Ohio and Michigan. During that time, I was a long-term substitute teacher for grades 2nd, 3rd. and 6th. After my subbing experiences, I  taught first grade for two years at Jackman Elementary in Toledo, Ohio.  I also have experience teaching preschool students for six years at the YMCA Preschool in Mount Vernon, Ohio.  Lastly, I worked as a Gifted Intervention Specialist at East Knox Elementary in Howard, Ohio.

I am currently working at Wiggin Street and East Elementary. I have been married for seventeen years and have three children, two sons and a daughter. My youngest son will be a fourth grader this school year at  Wiggin Street Elementary. My older son will be a sixth grader and my daughter an eighth grader at the Mount Vernon Middle School. We have two miniature schnauzers named Woody and Urban. We have lived in Howard, Ohio for nine years.

I really enjoy working in the Mount Vernon City School District! I look forward to a great year working with your children and with the wonderful Mount Vernon staff around me!
