Jerry Clinger
Mr. Clinger graduated from Mount Vernon High School in 1980, and from Mount Vernon Nazarene College in 1984.  He earn a bachelor's degree in education with a specialty in physical education (K-12) and health (grades 7-12).  From 1985-1990 he taught middle school health, then switched to elementary physical education in 1990-present.  He has taught at Elmwood, Columbia, West, and Dan Emmett schools.  Most recently he has taught at Twin Oak and Columbia Elementary Schools.  In addition, he has coached baseball for 30 years at Mount Vernon High School, along with many years of coaching football.  His wife, Joy is currently a classroom aide at Mount Vernon High School.  He has two children who graduated from Mount Vernon High School, Josh-class of 2006, and Jessica- class of 2008. 
We are going through a difficult time right now, but we will get through this together!  Every day we need to keep doing our best, eat right, wash hands, get plenty of sleep, work hard, and stay active!
