We appreciate the opportunity to showcase the abilities and hard work of our students. The students of Mount Vernon take pride in their endeavors in all areas including the classroom, cultural activities, and athletics. The accomplishments at Mount Vernon High School are many and varied, including notable achievements in the arts, athletics, academics, and technology. Over the years, the students at Mount Vernon High School have brought to our campus amazing and wonderful gifts, which have also energized and inspired other students, staff, and parents. The energy, commitment, and success they have contributed will continue to set the standard for success.

Mount Vernon is a middle class; suburban, residential community located 48 miles northeast of Columbus, Ohio. Mount Vernon was named Ohio's Most Livable Community in 1994 by Ohio Magazine, Ohio’s premiere travel publication. Mount Vernon Nazarene University and Kenyon College are located in the school district.

Mount Vernon High School is a four-year high school with an enrollment of 1463 students. Mount Vernon High School has 75 certified staff. Of these 42 have earned master degrees and five have earned National Board Certification. The curriculum at MVHS is comprehensive including advanced placement, honors, occupational and vocational programs.
