Hi! My name is Mrs. Severns. I have been happily married for 34 years. My husband, Mel, is the Registrar at MVNU. I have a son and a daughter who both graduated from Mount Vernon High School. My son, Benjamin, teaches 6th Grade Math at Mount Vernon Middle School. My daughter, Micayla, just recently was married in July and resides with her husband in Columbus. She is presently working as a social worker in Deleware, Ohio. 

 

I received my BA Degree in Elementary Education (1-8) and my MA Degree in Education Curriculum and Instruction from MVNU. I have been happily teaching for 33 years. I absolutely love working with children and helping reach their academic goals.
