Hello! My name is Corey Firebaugh. I have a Bachelor's Degree in education from Ashland University as well as a master's degree in mathematics from Nova Southeastern University. I hold an Ohio teaching license in mathematics for grades 7-12. I started my teaching career here in Mount Vernon right out of college in 2001 at the Mount Vernon Middle School, where I taught for 6 years. I then moved over to Mount Vernon High School in 2007. My wife teaches 3rd grade at East Elementary and we have three children that are currently attending the Mount Vernon City Schools.
I am an avid sports fan. I love The Ohio State Buckeyes and all of the Cleveland professional sports teams! I am currently the Head High School Wrestling coach, and I also try to coach my kids in the various activities that they are involved in.
